Description:

Basal leaves oval; narrower leaves sheathe lower part of stem. Flowers comprise oval greenish sepals with maroon veins, and narrow purple upper petals; lip 3-lobed and 10-13mm long, with metallic blue speculum edged by yellow and fringed with hairs. Flowers in spikes, March-May.

Habitat:

Maquis and garrigue. Widespread.
