Description:

It is a creeping, mat-forming succulent species and member of the Stone Plant family Aizoaceae. Flowers are pollinated by solitary bees, honey bees, carpenter bees and many beetle species.

Habitat:

Is an invasive species in several places, notably Australia, California and the Mediterranean, all of which share a similar climate.

Thanks! they grow all over in the area of Comunidad Valenciana in Spain. It seems very well adapted. The leaves hold lots of water and when I was a child I used their juice to write in the rocks :-)

In the US, the common name for this plant is "ice plant". It originated in South Africa.
