Description:

A young eastern racer underneath a piece of discarded sheet metal. The milky eyes indicate that this individual will soon shed its skin.

Habitat:

Intersection of a forest and a brushy, open field.

Notes:

Racers can be extremely variable in color. They can be tan, brown, olive, blue, gray or black. The belly is usually yellow, ivory or variations of blue and gray.
