Psammodromus algirus
Appears to be carrying eggs so proving that this species is breeding here. There are very few official records of this species in mainland Spain, it is much more common in Northern Africa.
A recent taxonomic study suggests this may, or has, become Psammodromus manuelae, covering Portugal and western Spain. Another new species covering Eastern Spain and southern France is Psammodromus jeanneae. No Common Name has been established in English but the Spanish call it Lagartija Colilarga Oriental which means Oriental (or Eastern) Long-tailed Lizard. Perhaps P. manuelae will become Western Long-tailed Lizard.
