Estrilda astrid
This small finch is mostly brown-gray with red on the belly and a line through the eye. The bill is red-orange, the legs and feet are black, and it has faint barring on the upperparts and flanks. The wings are short and the tail is medium in length. The female is similar, but lacks red on the belly and has a black bill. It feeds mainly on grass seeds. The flight is undulating.
