About 12mm overall bunched up legs. Hiding under a curled eucalyptus leaf in daytime.

Habitat:

Outer urban back yard.

"Volker Framenau ....I have been working on the taxonomy of Australian orb-weaving spiders for a number of years. Your spider belongs to the "Araneus psittacinus group". The taxonomy of these spider is very difficult and at this stage it is impossible to identify these spider to species level. There are possibly quite a few species in Autralia with similar colours (i.e. green with dark spots), but these patterns appear to vary within species. These spiders need much scientific work to sort out."
