Spotting

Description:

Approx 5cm / 2.5" wingspan. Feathered antennae, camouflaged upper wing pattern to blend in with rock or pale bark, under wings featured distinct burgundy, taupe and sooty black markings. Found after settling on my leg this morning. Reluctant to leave my hand. Attracted by warmth. Stayed put in open glass container and promptly flew away when disturbed at dusk.

Habitat:

Possibly rocky areas due to seeking warmth and cool grey colouration.
