Bucephala islandica
Not as common as the Commong Goldeneye. Male is similar to the Common Goldeneye. Black head with iridescent green. Head is a chunky shape and large White breast and underside. Black back with white secondaries (less then the Common). Yellow eyes and dark colored bill. The main difference is the shape of the white patch on the cheek. It is a large upside down comma. Female has a reddish head, white collar, and grey back. Bill is mostly orange in color. Same as the male with the yellow eyes.
This one was spotted in a salt/freshwater lake and canal that comes from the bay.

Thank you Emiko. These are uncommon here. We may get 1 for every 100 or more Common Goldeneyes. This one took me a year to find.
