Snowberry Clearwing Moth (laying eggs)

Description:

This female Snowberry Clearwing moth is laying eggs on the native Coral Honeysuckle, Lonicera sempervirens. The eggs are laid singularly and a clear green.

Habitat:

Wildlife habitat with many native plants.

Notes:

The caterpillars will be bright green with a blue green stripe down their back. They will have the signature horned tail of the sphinx moths. The spiracles (breathing holes) will be ringed with black.
