A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Chen caerulescens
Large white geese with black wing tips. The wing tips are not very visible on the ground, but easy to see when they fly. The juveniles are slightly smaller and have a gray shading. There is a "blue morph" variant. The body is dark and the head white.
A large group has left the winter wheat field to go to the edge of Lake Texoma. Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge.
