Thanks bayucca, I believe you. The reference picture isn't great, but good enough to see that it's this one. I never saw an Eois sp. moth, and now this is the third one you identified from Ecuador for me!

Geometridae, Larentiinae, Eois angulata. Sorry no better electronic reference, you have to believe me ;-)...
