Description:

Short yellow bill. Legs vary from yellow or pink in breeding season to dusky of black in winter. This one is showing the buff feathers of breeding season.

Habitat:

There was a cluster of tall trees on the island that were used as a rookery. Every evening egrets, herons and pelicans flew in from the main island for the night.
