Red-spot Jezebel

Delias descombesi

Description:

Relatively large butterfly, very restless and shy, but extremely beautiful.

Notes:

I spotted this one hover over very tall trees, only occasionally coming down to bushes with flowers. It just flew away even if it saw me at distances more than 20ft! This photograph was taken from 20ft away with my Canon 50D on tripod and 100mm/2.8 IS USM hiding in the bush!
