Description:

A common Apatelodid Moth TL 18-22.mm, WS 32-42 mm. Gray with blacklish lines. Thorax has thick black band. Hosts: Deciduous trees including ash, maple and oak.

Habitat:

Near front porch light (near woodlands) (Range: Southern Ontario and Maine and south to Florida, west to Texas and North to Wisconsin)

Notes:

Resembles Walnut Sphinx Moth
