Koala

Phascolarctos cinereus

Description:

Marsupial herbivore native to Australia.

Habitat:

Uppermost branches of eucalyptus trees.

Notes:

Healthy individuals spend most of their time in the highest peaks of eucalyptus trees. This one, however, was found very close to the ground and showed early signs of chlamydia, which is a common ailment among koalas.
