Description:

A Wainscot moth. Family: Noctuidae, Subfamily: Noctuinae, Tribe: Leucaniini. TL 20-25 mm . FW is straw colored to orange-brown (variable). Dusky scales. Orange coloring. White speck oh each wing. Host: Mostly grasses, but sometimes a pest to crops. Several broods.

Habitat:

Meadows and fields (attracted to light)

Notes:

3rd moth - Straight-lined Plagodis (Plagodis phlogosaria) Summer brood
