House Sparrow

Passer domesticus

Description:

Little family of sparrows in the back yard, being busy with chicks and feeding.

Habitat:

Backyard bird house

Notes:

This little family of birds were very busy during a family BBQ. While dad was coming in and out feeding the chicks, mom was trying her best to drag a dead chick out of the house. She had tried with everything she had for about an hour by time we went in the house and left them alone. In the second picture, you can barely see the chick mom is trying to get out under her.
