Yellow Monday Cicada

Description:

4cm long. The green Grocer has a variation in colour from green to gold. This one has quite a bit of gold so would be known as a yellow Monday. Has red compound eyes with three simple eyes (ocelli) in the centre of its head. These help to detect light intensity, orientation to the sun and are also likely to assist with flight stability.
