Four o'clock moth

Dysphania sp.

Description:

This bright moth is vibrant because it has just eclosed from the pupa. They are common in Queensland and Asia.

Habitat:

The bright yellow caterpillar was collected by Cleve and fed until this captive moth emerged. He is documenting lifecycles.

Notes:

I cannot tell between the two species so in anyone know the difference, please share. Dysphania numana : Peacock Jewel Moth Dysphania fenestrata
