Madagascar Moon Moth

Argema mittrei

Description:

I found this male and female moth in glass frames in a second hand shop in Cape Town. I do not think they are Southern African and have no idea what their name is or where they are found. Can anybody help?

Talk about sexual dimorphism! That is beautiful, yet a said story that they are so carelessly unprotected.
