Sturnella magna

Description:

The Eastern meadowlark has a black v-shaped band on yellow underparts.

Habitat:

This bird was spotted among a flock of the same birds in a large field near our campground in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Most of the time they would fly back and forth from the electric wires to an uncut field.
