Bombycilla cedrorum
The cedar waxwing is a very sleek-looking gray-to-brown bird with a pointed crest. A light yellow belly and bandit-like black mask. Tip of tail is bright yellow and waxy red on tips of wings. The pointed crest may be raised or lowered. This cedar waxwing has his raised. They are seen mostly in flocks, moving from area to area looking for berries. Spends most of its time in tree tops.
The cedar waxwings were spotted at the Grayton Beach State Park in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.. A flock of them flew into a nearby treetop and stayed for a brief few minutes and then were off again.
