Vishnou Lappet Male

Trabala vishnou Lefevre, 1827

Description:

This is a large moth. However, male are smaller than the females.

Habitat:

Mixed forest consisting of bamboo, cherry, pines etc. Warm to cold place. Altitude: 1,700 m.

Notes:

Pl note the gutter running across its dorsum. It appears to me that the defect was there at the pupal stage, because except the cut mark the hairs are intact.
