Alligator mississippiensis
Lovers Key State Park
This was the species that I wanted to see the most while in Florida. I searched various areas for days, and on my last morning, finally got to capture one with the camera. I had to research the blue color, and to find out, it is the reflection from the blue morning sky off of its wet back. I estimated it to be 6 or 7 feet in length.
