Filamentous Fungus

Phycomyces sp.

Description:

They seem to start off yellow with a clear-looking stalk and then the older ones seem to have a black, hair-think stalk with a silver ball on top. I assumed they were slime mold, but after some searching online I found out this is a fungus

Habitat:

Growing out of an old wasp's nest in a shady area under lots of trees
