Description:

Family: Erebidae, Subfamily: Arctiinae, Tribe: Arctiini (Tussock is in its name, but is a Tiger moth larva.). 1.25 inches long (32 mm). Gray with orange and black neck band and toothbrush like tufts near head and rear. Very hairy. Black face. Hosts: alder, ash, birch, willow.
