Description:

Family: Erebidae, Subfamily: Arctiinae, Tribe Arctiini. A common type of tiger moth. TL 16-20 mm. WS 29-37 mm. Narrow, dark brown/black FW has yellow streak. Dull metallic blue thorax and golden collar. Hosts: Grasses, lichen. Adults seen feeding on variety of flowers such as small white asters. Seen mostly during the day.
