Manorina melanocephala
One of Australia's many native honeyeaters, grey and white colouring, bright yellow beak and eye skin, black markings on wings, tail and head, some yellow on wings, noisy (as name suggests) often a sentry for other birds and wildlife warning of nearby danger, feeds mostly on nectar but also eats insects. Lives in small family groups and is very territorial. Some variation in birds throughout regions.
Found throughout much of south and east Australia, this one in dry woodland and garden environment.

Thanks Mark & Tiz. A mob of these birds hangs around here and I know by the different calls they make what type of predator/intruder is around. A bonus when there's a snake I don't see.
Lovely photo and bird! Thank you for the information too. Always makes a spotting more interesting :)
Great shot.
Thanks MacC.
Nice one KD
