Anax imperator
A fairly large dragonfly, with vivid green with black markings. Quite a large wing-span. Wings were clear with very slight green/blue markings on the tips.
Fairly open countryside, on the edge of a large forest. Lots of fields, hedgerows, and ditches.
I think that I have correctly identified this beautiful dragonfly as an Anax Imperator. Would be great if someone could confirm.
