Description:

Black and cream coloured outer wings; red coloured interior wings with blue markings. Measures between 5,5 and 6 cm.

Habitat:

Rocky valleys, quarries, chalky soil. Rarely above 1000m.

Notes:

I spotted this day time moth in my back garden yesterday. It was perusing the flowers of my mint plant for a long time.
