Brown recluses do not weave webs. They hang out in dark undisturbed places like woodpiles outdoors, & in cellars & garages indoors. They are a much slenderer spider http://bugguide.net/node/view/275810

I'm pretty sure from the eye arrangements & the "hoops" on its forelegs that this is a grass spider (agelenopsis sp.) this is the closest match I could find. http://bugguide.net/node/view/437658

Hi again. This is not a brown recluse spider. I'm not sure of its identity and all I can tell at a glance is that it's a male.
