Eastern Olivaceous Warbler

Description:

Small bird size of sparrow. Drab, predominantly grey to olive green colors, with pale underparts. Very nervous or lively bird, fast moving - a nightmare to photograph...

Habitat:

Here observed in a shrub of our team house in Moussoro,Bahr-el-Gazal region of Chad - semi-urban zone in semi desertic sub-Saharan belt. Otherwise, prefers the arid and semi-arid open woodland.

Notes:

Previously placed in "Old World warbler" family Sylvidae, under the appellation of Hippolais pallida. Today this was changed and the Eastern Olivaceous Warbler s classified in genus Iduna, or tree warbler in family Acrocephalidae.
