Barred Owl

Strix varia

Description:

I was searching the tree line for a cardinal I heard singing when I saw this beauty frozen on a tree bough almost perfectly camouflaged. I have walked these wetlands for about a year and have heard the owl was here but this is my first spotting. Lifer for me!
