These birds live in the vicinity of the airfield for most of the year and like to graze in the long grasses. They often nest on top of tall buildings in towns, favouring tall chimneys or church spires, or in open country on tall power line masts.
Mountain airfield 1100 metres asl, alpine grasses and scattered bushes.
