Reddening lepiota

Lepiota americana

Description:

White mushrooms with a wide cap. These are not that old but because they keep growing on one of my neighbor's yard, I know that the cap will open and will stay white. They also grow about 5 inches in diameter and about 6 tall. They are edible but can cause discomfort in some people.

Habitat:

Mississippi yard. There is no shadow at all during the day and the yard is trimmed weekly.
