Gilma, this is definitely a beetle of some sort - it has the look of a firefly (as was already mentioned) - fireflies are beetles.

I will be happy to add it when I find out what it is, I do not think it is a beetle?
By the way I came to Costa Rica, my native Country in December 2011 to stay, after living in USA for many, many years, I can tell you our native Country is paradise. PURA VIDA!!

It could be a Firefly, Pyropyga, the closest I found to mine?!

Looks like a Firefly, Lampyridae. But I am not sure. Common ones are Photinus sp. and Photuris sp., but I did not find any match for the two...
