Crambid Moth

Petrophila sp.

Description:

An unusual moth of 1 cm in length with curled antennae. The upper wings are white with yellow bands and have a row of black and metallic blue spots on the bottom edge above a line of fringe. It also has 2 red mites attached to the head.

Habitat:

On the wall of an open-air restaurant, Chiflón Waterfall Park, Chiapas, Mexico.
