Volupial Pyrausta Moth

Description:

Size: forewing length 8- 10.5 mm This was real close to the porch light which made it hard to get a good take for the glare. This moth was actually pink. I went back to try to get another shot but it was already gone.

Habitat:

Range: from Texas west to southern California spreading northward to San Fransisco, Colorado Expanding its range from its original range of southern California. Season: year round Food: hosts are in the mint family
