Gall Wasp galls

Belonocnema treatae

Description:

Pea shaped and sized galls found in various numbers on the underside of fallen Live Oak leaves.

Habitat:

Live Oak (Quercus virginiana) in a housing "plantation" on Hilton Head Island, SC. Well planted area with golf courses and many man-made freshwater "lagoons".

Notes:

Most likely galls from this wasp, not 100% on the ID of this one. These were found on the ground under some extremely large Live Oak trees. I am sorry I didn't take a picture of the trees (next time I visit my grandmother I will).
