Cyclops Jumping Spider

Opisthoncus polyphemus

Description:

Very active and aggressive jumping spider. 5mm

Habitat:

This is the only example of this species I have seen. She was on a steel fence above lawn and beneath overhanging trees in an area rarely disturbed

Notes:

I am suggesting it is Opisthoncus polyphemus, agree? We created several undisturbed areas of garden to encourage spiders which have been photographed and included in a website about backyard spiders to be found on a 1/4 acre suburban block.
