October Thorn Moth

Tetracis jubararia

Description:

The moth is a light tan color with a darker tan or an orangey-brown band running across the fore wings. There is 1 small dark brown spot on each fore wing. The hind wings have pointed tips in the middle of the wings. The thorax is a orange tan color and has fuzzy fur like hairs. It has long tan antennae.

Habitat:

Hot climate.Fruit orchards.

Notes:

Late evening. It's trying to blend in with the grain of a piece of plywood.
