Berta chrysolineata
This green moth has a wingspan of about an inch. It is paper-thin and looked really flat. It was very still. It just looked like white specks on the leaf.
I found this lovely moth on a leaf of Sanchezia speciosa. Photos taken between 4:52-5:11pm.
Thanks everyone. Yes, Vincent, strange might be a good word for this moth. When I saw it, I thought it was just some strange bunch of white spots, speckles on the leaf. I thought they were eggs or maybe some fungal growth. Then when I looked closely, it has the shape of a moth but it was so flat (like Nyctemera coleta flat). It wasn't moving at all. Still, I decided to take photos of it. It flew when I was moving the leaf for better lighting. Fortunately it just moved to another leaf, allowing me to take photos of it.:)
