Predatory Stink Bug feeding on a Larva

Description:

Predatory Stink Bug (Pentatomidae) feeding on a larva. Even when the larva fell off the leaf, the bug did not let go or stop feeding. Possibly a species of Podisus.

Habitat:

Abandoned lot in a semi-urban area on the outskirts of the city, 2,200 meters.

Notes:

The larva is probably a leaf beetle larva (Chrysomelidae), we are watching to see which beetle it becomes. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/165... Podisus maculiventris: http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/bene...
