Family Elateridae

Description:

1cm, Brown narrowing towards the back end. There is a surprising range of click beetles in a very small area here. They differ in size and shape and colouralthough at first glance most seem the same

Habitat:

In a garden with fish bone ferns and Tilandsia and grasses by the coast in suburban sprawl

Notes:

# clicker beetle feb 14. There are a large number of click beetles in the little gardens here and the only way I can tell the difference is by their size. This one is the average at 1cm
