keithp2012: The Queen butterflies all emerge looking just like Queen butterflies, regardless of chrysalis color. I've seen lots of color variations that seem to have no effect on the emerging adult.

outdooreducation15: Chrysalis color varies in a number of species of butterflies and this is just one example. Queens are closely related to the Monarch, thus the similarity in chrysalis.
