Monteithiella humeralis
About 13mm long this tan coloured shield bug was laying pale bluish greenish white eggs onto a painted log.
On a building wall in a local nature reserve.
Conditions very poor for arthropod activity. Drought-like with a record breaking series of hot days over a 30 day period.

You're right Martin. It's in Tas and NSW though and we have plenty of Pittosporum sp. here so it must be just Victorian laziness. I'll put it onto ALA now.
I've not seen this one. It seems like this is the first record of this bug in Victoria. Well done.
In fact she's making a few more records too, I'm bound to find one of them later.
