Meal Moth

Pyralis farinalis

Description:

Small moth about a cm. Camouflaged for sitting against bark with some orange on the abdomen, It sits with its antenna pulled back and raises the tip of it's tail.

Habitat:

This one was in a bathroom which I doubt is the normal habitat. I see from the identifying websites that this moth is one of the common moths in urban areas and eat food supplies such as grains

Nice spotting! They are commonly found in houses looking for a place to lay eggs, as their larva feed on grains.
