Orb Weaver

Eriophora edax

Description:

This tan spider has a dark, elongated spot on the front of the abdomen. The web is a large orb, giving this spider its common name. Because of this spider's location, I couldn't get the underside without damaging its web.

Habitat:

Backyard on Carolina Jasmine.
