A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Scutellaria integrifolia
The group of flowers I found were all about 8-10" tall. Stem vaguely square , indicating a member of the mint family. Flowers are about 3/4" long, "zygomorphic", top portion forming a hood over the lipped bottom portion.
Along the driveway in mixed hardwood hammock. Silver Springs State Park, campground entrance off SR35. Under mailboxes. :)
