Lepiota brunneoincarnata
Lepiota brunneoincarnata, also known as the deadly dapperling, is a gilled mushroom of the genus Lepiota in the order Agaricales. It is known to contain amatoxins and consuming this fungus can be a potentially lethal proposition. It was responsible for a fatal poisoning in Spain.[1] It has white gills and spores. They typically have rings on the stems, which in larger species are detachable and glide up and down the stem. The cap is 1.5 — 4 centimeters across.[2] It was described by Chodat & C. Martín in 1889.[3] Like several other species of the genus Lepiota, it contains amatoxins which can result in severe liver toxicity.
